I'd like to pick your brain about something, if you're amenable to it

Hi folks,

I’m currently working on a few projects as one does and I could use some help! As you know, I spend a lot of time online discussing community and preaching its gospel if you will. Oftentimes, I’ll get waves of comments, DMs and emails detailing a genuine desire for community but inability to find ones folks can settle into or pessimism brought on by prior efforts not being rewarded. I empathize with that plight and as a chronic thinker turned fixer, I’m invested in helping to bridge a pathway (to the best of my abilities) for folks seeking community. Whether it be related to their politic, hobbies, skills or a combination of multiple factors, I’m curious what people are faced with currently and what they’ve observed makes these efforts easier and harder.

So I created a survey. It’s a little over 20 questions with multiple choice, sliding scale and short essay style questions. Shouldn’t take longer than 5-10 minutes. The only truly personal data collected on you is your email and some demographics (age group, ethnicity, etc.), you don’t even have to tell me your name. The raw data will only be seen by my eyes and kept in an encrypted local drive on my external storage. This will later be aggregated into charts and metrics that will be accessible to the public, your email address will not be shared, ever. I’m looking for the broad strokes, not your nitty gritty (no offense).

I am seeking as much data as possible, in the survey game, more data is good data so share the link with whoever else is willing in your circles. The people have served and cared for me so well over the years (which includes you btw) and I want to pay it forward! The joy, optimism, and peace I experience in the spaces most dear to me should be accessible to all those seeking, I genuinely believe that and this is a step in my attempt to clear the road for these spaces to thrive and with you in them.
