Whore-oscopes Episode 4

Hello lovely people,

If you didn’t know, dating is relatively new and it borrowed (stole, co-opted, robbed, whatever you’d like to call it), most of its strategy and glory from the sex work. I explore that briefly in this episode because if I didn't cut myself off, it’d be a dissertation. The heaux’s have been asserting this forever but because we’re frequently listed as bias in these conversations, I cite one of my most beloved books on the topic, written by a regular degular civilian woman by the name of Moira Weigel. I’ll link a copy below.

One of the aims of my podcast and content at large isn’t just to thrust my opinions on people but rather to support those opinions with sources that are accessible in language and entertaining in their presentation. Most I’ve recommended Labor of Love too have found it a helpful read, even if there’s no particular interest in sex/work and its impact on the world at large.

Podcast aside, I’ll be speaking to you all very shortly, before the weekend is over. I’ve been working on an essay that feels like pulling teeth, only because it found itself in a more vulnerable place than I was anticipating so keep an eye on your inbox!

As always, stay thoughty and stay thotty— I’m out!
